“Oral arguments are scheduled for March 7 in the Second District Court of Appeals for the continuing, multi-million dollar lawsuit stemming from a contract dispute that dates back to 2013.”

“In 2013, a judge ordered the case to arbitration, which CareSource appealed. In 2014, the Ohio Second District Court of Appeals upheld that the wording of the contract compelled the two companies to take the case to arbitration. In 2015, Arbitrator Stuart Widman of American Health Lawyers Association issued an award to Kettering Health for about $2.8 million, including interest for the underpayments, following the hearings.

CareSource then contested the arbitration ruling in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas, but last fall, Judge Dennis Langer sided with the arbitrator. CareSource appealed again in November.”
